Students Helping Honduras
My work here mainly involves developing intuitive designs, layouts, and supports the development of a new UI/UX for various sign-up options. I also maintain and update websites for sister programs, such as One Thousand Schools and Train for Change. To maintain the performance of the site, I report website conversion traffic and continuously improve designs and user interface (UI) to engage users.
As a web developer, I utilize HTML and CSS to implement peer-to-peer fundraising and volunteer online registration systems, migrate all existing infrastructure to manage cloud services, and introduce all security measures including, but not limited to, timely backups, SSL and Firewalls, CDN, Security Scans, etc.
Part of my job is to support the marketing and communication team to re-brand and create a new website, as well as install several IT Solutions to optimize performance. I also collaborate with Chief Development Officer to design and develop custom reporting based on Classy and QuickBooks API and work with Chief Financial Officer to develop IT solutions for reporting optimization to provide up-to-date information on a daily, weekly, monthly, and bi-annual basis.
Here are my most notable accomplishments:
- Created plugins or widgets for displaying API information and implemented new plugins and extensions
- Developed customized themes and open-source plugins and deployed SEO and blog tools to drive more website traffic
- Built data pipelines for automating data injection and designed and implemented CRM(s) to assist with data requirements
- Automated Email Drip Marketing through MailChimp API and developed custom websites for events and virtual fundraisers
- Launched several new IT Systems, including Trello, Slack, G-Suites, Google Visual Studio, MailChimp, Classy CRM, etc.
